Street dance foundations: Beginners

Learn the foundation of waacking, hip hop, locking and popping. You’ll learn four completely different and brilliant street dance styles and we promise you, the history of these styles are super interesting too. You’ll come out of this class feeling energised, worked out and even more knowledgeable – it’s a win-win.

About the teacher

Rosie Wilson-Sidlauskas aka Rosie Rose – a triplet born and raised in Northampton was introduced to dance at an early age to give her and her siblings a creative outlet. Training in Ballet, Tap and Jazz dance and discovered Hip-hop dance styles in her teens. She moved to London continuing her dance training at IRIE! Dance theatre delving into African Traditional dances and Caribbean folk dance, she later received a Dance and Drama Award scholarship funding her studies in Professional Musical Theatre at WAC Arts (2011- 2014)

After graduating Rosie worked as a freelance artist in many independent projects involving creative, performance and teaching work across London, New York, France, Denmark, Senegal and The Netherlands. Performing as a hip-hop and contemporary dance artist extensively with Myself UK Dance Company and The Locksmiths Dance Co. In 2019 she produced, directed and performed ‘Pramkicker’ a two- hander theatre piece performed at The Hope Theatre, Islington.

Autumn Term

Term runs from Monday 27 September to Saturday 11 December.

Classes will be socially distanced and we’re committed to providing a safe environment where all participants are confident to take part.
