Disco: Over 60s

Don those bell-bottoms and rewind back to the dyn-o-mite 1970s. Disco Diva Danielle will school you in the iconic disco line dances of the era, after a groovy warm-up and top technique tips.

This class suits everyone, whether you’re dusting off your 70s moves and grooves or a first-timer with a penchant for retro and yearning to catch Saturday Night Fever. And there’s no partner required. So put on your boogie shoes, and get ready to shake your groove thing to the curated soundtrack of classic disco hits. Socks or dance shoes work best for this class.

About the teacher

Danielle Capretti is the founder and creative force behind 70s Disco Fever, which aspires to revive the joy of 70s line dances for all.

A child of the 70s, her memories include grooving to ‘Kung Fu Fighting’ at a dance recital and watching Soul Train in her grandmother’s kitchen.  After teacher training at Dance District in Toronto, Canada, her unique courses debuted in 2008. Her repertoire includes authentic dances from the period, covering styles all the way from the American West Coast to to Europe.  She has taken 70s Disco Fever to five countries, where her signature course has been profiled on television, in newspapers and on radio.
