Stones of Venice is a new narrative VR (virtual reality) piece developed by our friends at 59 Productions, for and with ReNew Vision in Hong Kong premiering on Saturday 31 October 2020.
This is a new, digital adaptation from Invisible Cities which Rambert, 59 Productions and Manchester International Festival created and premiered at MIF in 2019.
Stones of Venice was commissioned by the New Vision Arts Festival, conceived and created by 59 Productions in collaboration with Jeffrey Shaw and City University of Hong Kong, using the power of motion capture technology to bring the teams in London and Hong Kong together.
It was a joy to collaborate on the staging of Stones of Venice alongside Lolita Chakrabarti on the screenplay, Gareth Fry on the sound design and A Winged Victory For The Sullen on the score.

Note it is possible to watch this at a computer, but watching on a mobile with headphones will be better. Or, you will get an even better experience if you're able to use a VR headset and headphones. Cheap cardboard headsets work very well with smartphones and can be purchased from any major online store.
