Rambert to perform in Peaky Blinders Festival

Rambert will be part of The Legitimate Peaky Blinders Festival taking place in central Birmingham, September 14th & 15th.

Presented by AEG and show creator Steven Knight, The Legitimate Peaky Blinders Festival will bring together immersive theatre, live music and fashion inspired by the series, a cinema showing, exclusive show previews, a museum, food, drink, poetry and more, with a group of dancers specially brought together by Rambert performing an original piece, choreographed by Artistic Director Benoit Swan Pouffer.

With five stages of music with headline artists, including Primal Scream, Anna Calvi, Slaves, Nadine Shah and live recreations of Peaky Blinders scenes involving 200 actors, fashion shows and men’s grooming, a gambling den, bare knuckle boxing arena – fans will be living in the show’s world encompassing the Digbeth area of central Birmingham. Dank Parish will also present an immersive recreation of the Peaky Blinders world.

Using its historic streets, warehouses and factories and employing lighting, sound, smoke, video mapping and special effects, the post World War 1 era will come to life for an unmissable day.

Steven Knight will reveal all in a live Q&A, also featuring the show’s stars including fan favourite Arthur Shelby played by Paul Anderson, Sophie Rundle, Finn Cole, Annabelle Wallis and Helen McCrory, the iconic Aunt Pol in the series.

David Beckham’s Peaky Blinders’ inspired fashion line Kent & Curwen will also launch at the festival with a fashion show, alongside Garrison Tailors.  The show’s influence on modern style will be reflected in onsite tailoring and men’s grooming.

"Expect the unexpected, expect 1919 to come crashing into 2019 and, be assured, everything is officially by order of the Peaky Blinders..."
