Rambert Revealed 2016

Rambert Revealed is our annual programme of events opening up the work of the company in its award-winning home on London’s South Bank. In our 90th anniversary year, the programme has been extended to two weeks, with more chances to everyone to find out what goes on behind the scenes at the home of Britain’s national dance company.

The programme includes behind-the-scenes tours and open classes (see below), rehearsals of Ghost Dances and other forthcoming works (see below), schools workshops and teacher training, a series of opportunities for professional artists, and lots of chances for people of all ability levels to join in the dancing. New this year are Platform Performances, where the company’s dancers, musicians and associated artists show works in progress (see below).

Behind-the-scenes tours

This tour takes you behind the scenes at our state-of-the-art building on London’s South Bank, including watching Rambert dancers in their daily class.

Each tour runs 10.15am – 12pm. These events are free but booking is required:

Platform Performances

Rambert Revealed’s Platform Performances are opportunities for Rambert’s dancers, musicians and others associated with the company to showcase short pieces, works in progress and their latest research.

£5/£3 concs. Booking is required:

Platform performance #2 on Fri 14 Oct, 6.30 – 7.30pm
Platform performance #3 on Tue 18 Oct, 6.30 – 7.30pm

Also, there is a drop-in open rehearsal with Miguel Altunaga, on Saturday 15 Oct, 3 – 4pm, free event and no need to book.

Masterclasses for all abilities

Based on popular Rambert repertoire, for those aged 18 and over. Booking required.
