Rambert Live was a day-in-the-life of Britain’s national dance company, streamed live from a studio in our London home on Tuesday 18 October 2016. The day included company class, rehearsing new and classic works, the latest in our series of Rambert debates, and a presentation of small scale works and works-in-progress.

1. Platform Performance
Short pieces, works in progress and latest research from dancemakers Miguel Altunaga, Carlos Pons Guerra, Simone Damberg Würtz and Mbulelo Ndabeni.
2. Rambert Debate: Looking ahead - what next for contemporary dance?
A panel of emerging choreographers and studio audience discuss the future of the art form. Featuring Julie Cunningham, Malgorzata Dzierzon, Mbulelo Ndabeni and Patricia Okenwa, chaired by Amy Bell.
3. Tomorrow and Different Steps
Tomorrow is Lucy Guerin’s work exploring the dark and dangerous world of Macbeth, filmed at Sadler’s Wells, London in May 2016. Different Steps is a 1985 documentary looking at the work of three choreographers: Richard Alston, Christopher Bruce and Robert North.
4. Rehearsals
The company rehearsing Ghost Dances with Christopher Bruce, A Linha Curva with Mikaela Polley and Hydrargyrum with Patricia Okenwa.
5. Company class
A ballet class taught by Mikaela Polley, Senior Rehearsal Director.
