Career highlights: While studying at Princess Grace Academy, Alex got the opportunity to perform pieces by renowned choreographers such as Mats Ek, Sidi Larbi Chearkoui, Jean-Christophe Maillot, George Balanchine, the highlight being Marco Goecke where he created his own version of the ‘Black Swan’ pas de deux on Alex’s graduating year, in 2015.
After completing his training, Alex joined the Nuremberg State Theater, in Germany, where he got the opportunity to work closely and be part of many creations by director and choreographer Gayo Montero. He also performed pieces by Hofesh Schechter, Alexander Ekman, Christian Spuck, William Forsythe, Jiri Bubenicek, Jeroen Verbruggen, James Sutherland, Jianhui Wan, Marco Goecke, Douglas Lee and Ohad Naharin.
In 2019, Alex was awarded the ‘Bavarian Art Prize for Dance’, a prestigious german award for young, upcoming artists. As well as being nominated with ‘Outstanding Performance by a Male Dancer’ on Dance Europe magazine, ‘Newcomer’ by Tanz magazine and most recently being nominated as ‘Best of Season’ on magazine Die Deutsche Buhne.
