Rambert creates a one-off performance responding to the unique sound of “electronic music’s answer to Basquiat” (Dazed): vocalist and producer GAIKA.

GAIKA’s blend of grime, dancehall, garage, hip hop and R&B takes the sonic textures of his south London streets and crafts them into brand new, glistening shapes. Accompanying his live set with shapes of their own, Rambert’s brilliant dancers produce new sensations through movement in an event specially conceived for Wilderness by Rambert’s Guest Artistic Director Benoit Swan Pouffer.

“Gaika is a politician, a seducer, a poet and a preacher, and on stage is where his words have the most power.”

The Guardian

Part live experiment, part creative culture clash, the dancers and musician trigger each other and react in the moment. Together, they create an unrepeatable collision of movement and music.

See RAMBERT x GAIKA at Wilderness Festival this August.
