Rambert presents Julie Cunningham & Company

Rambert presents a new site-specific performance from Rambert’s inaugural Leverhulme Choreography Fellow, Julie Cunningham.

The performance is a delicate encounter between dancers and audience on the roof of the Royal Festival Hall. Cunningham’s choreography suggests playful, imaginary situations appearing against the London skyline, creating intimacy and detailed attention amidst the expansive, spectacular backdrop.

Julie Cunningham is an acclaimed dancer who has worked with Merce Cunningham and Michael Clark, among others, and who has a growing reputation as an exciting new choreographic voice. She launched Julie Cunningham & Company with performances at the Barbican in April 2016, and has created new site-specific work for the V&A’s REVEAL festival celebrating the opening of the museum’s new Exhibition Road Quarter.
