Fused 
Fused began as a pilot project funded by Southwark Education in November 2006 working in Porlock Hall Pupil Referral Unit. The students were given a unique opportunity to develop their non-verbal and verbal communication as well as their physical movement skills. They explored Rambert repertoire and developed their own choreography whilst focusing on their contemporary dance skills.
The project continued into the new year and concluded in July 2007 when the students performed in-house and at the Southwark Park Festival to a highly charged and appreciative audience.
Fused has provided a platform in which hard to reach young people can grow as individuals both physically and mentally to achieve goals and learn new things. It has demonstrated the continued need for dance projects and opportunities to be fully inclusive to all.
It is hoped that Fused will continue in the autumn term with a new set of students who will unleash as many surprises as the last!
