The INSET day will give participants ideas on how to use Rambert repertoire as a starting point for their students to develop their own choreography.
The course will explore current Rambert repertoire including work by Mark Baldwin and Siobhan Davies. It will look at the processes the choreographers use to create work and will develop ways that these can be implemented into students own choreography.
The day will include:
• A dance warm-up based around Rambert Dance Company's training techniques
• Learning movement phrases from Rambert's existing repertoire
• Developing creative tasks that can be used by students to create their own choreography
• Discussion on how to relate Rambert repertoire to existing exam paper questions
Participants will receive a Rambert Dance Company certificate confirming completion of the INSET day.
The Rambert Animateur delivering the INSET will be Justine Reeves.
