Justine Reeves
Justine Reeves is a freelance Dance consultant. She has a B.A (Hons) in Dance and Related Arts, PGCE (Post-16) and Post Graduate Diploma (PGDip) in Dance and Collaborative Arts as well as taking many drama related studies including the Post Graduate course ‘interact', a certificate in teaching Youth Theatre.
She has taught for over 14 years across all age ranges from pre-school to higher education, she has set up GCSE, A Level and BTEC courses in centres as well as Youth Dance and Youth Theatre Companies. She is an external verifier for EDEXCEL's Btec courses, written units for the 2007 Level 3 syllabus e.g. 'Developing contemporary dance' and two new units 'exploring contact improvisation' and 'Urban dance' which she initiated. She has also been an AQA A Level Dance examiner for the practical units for six years as well as marking the unit 3 and 6 written exam paper.
Justine was Director of Dance at The BRIT (British records industry trust) School and has also taught at Barton Peveril College, South Downs College, Hurstpierpoint College and Newlands School. As a performer and choreographer she has founded and managed many projects including M T Gap a site-specific dance company who performed the 'Cean a paix' festival in France, Puppik Reeves Dance Company who performed in local festivals and has danced in her own choreographies in theatres in the south.
Through 'Keynote educational' she delivers INSET courses for teachers including ' Teaching Btec for the first time' and 'Choreography for A Level Dance' . As well as work with Rambert she is presently Artistic Director of West Sussex Youth Dance Company.
