Audition for youth dance company Quicksilver

Quicksilver, Rambert's youth dance company, is a group of talented young dancers aged 15 - 24 who focus on new contemporary works as well as learning Rambert repertoire.

Led by Artistic Director and Rambert Animateur Laura Harvey, the group meet once a week on a Thursday between 6.30 - 8pm at the Rambert Studios in Chiswick and more frequently leading up to performances.

Previous performances have included the opening of the Eurostar at St Pancras International Station, various dance platforms at the Lilian Baylis Theatre and Sadler's Wells, as well as performances for Richdance festival, Big Dance 2010 and The Dance Show at Birmingham's NEC as part of the Clothes Show Live. Most recently the company performed at Roehampton University and Bedford Park Festival in June 2011.

From September, Quicksilver will be involved in an exciting creative project entitled Street Genius, organised by London's South Bank and Bankside Cultural Quarter. The project will give Quicksilver the chance to work with their own creative team leading towards a performance in spring 2011. There will also be a number of dance platforms and opportunities throughout Big Dance 2012.

With exciting new projects and performances coming up, Quicksilver is looking to recruit four dedicated and strong dancers aged 15-24 to join the youth company from September 2011.

Successful candidates must be available for classes every Thursday 6.30 - 8.30pm. Classes run on a termly basis and cost £95 for a 12-week term, which can be paid in instalments.

Auditions will be held at the Rambert Studios in Chiswick on Tuesday 6 September, from 6 - 8pm.
