Quicksilver perform at the Southbank Centre
Rambert's youth dance company, Quicksilver, will be performing a spectacle of contemporary dance inspired by the circus and music by Sergei Prokofiev at a free event at the Clore Ballroom in the Southbank Centre on Saturday 28 January at 9.45pm. In A Circus Re-imagined eleven dancers aged between 17 - 24 years old become clowns, tightrope walkers and acrobats. This high-energy and intricate work is choreographed by Laura Harvey, Quicksilver's Artistic Director, in collaboration with London Philharmonic Orchestra's Foyle Future First. The performance has been produced and managed by a group of young people from Lambeth and Southwark who have taken part in Street Genius; a Southbank and Bankside initiative offering young people the opportunity to volunteer alongside some of London most exciting arts organisations.
