By Ioasia Radvan on Fri, 27 June 2008 at 01:03:10 PM

hi everybody,
I'm 12 and probably the youngest person to know about the company. my only ambition in life is to become a dancer and to dance with a company such as the Rambert. i have been dancing for 10 years now and with it i would be stuck. i want nothing else than to do well and follow my absolute dream. i believe it will come true. i would really appreciate if people could reply. thankyou so much Ioasia Radvan

Hi Ioasia,

Thank you for your post and your interest in Rambert! Did you get to see the Company perform in the recent tour? What did you think?

It sounds like you work really hard at your dancing. Rambert takes dancers of the highest standard from all over the world. Our most recent dancers are from South Africa, Venezuela and Cuba. They are currently on their holiday and will return soon to rehearse for the autumn tour.
To become a professional dancer you need to work extremely hard and have a lot of passion for what you do. So you just have to keep doing what you are doing until you make it!

Have you had a look at the Learning and Participation page? If you are local to London you could attend one of Rambert's evening classes for young people in contemporary dance. We have a group called Young Movers which is for 10 - 13 year olds. If you want more information on this class or want to book a place please email me on learning@rambert.org.uk.
