Really loved Roses, wish we could see Pal Taylor's own company again, they haven't been here for years. Really lovely dance. Cardoon club didn't really go anywhere, please put it away and do something interesting!

A nicely gentle and at times quite quirky piece... it has weathered the passage of time much better than old superego martha's stuff... and it is also nice to go back to semi-roots, see historical pieces from the modern genre. I could also imagine Rambert restaging some fo the really sizzling stuff they did in the later seventies like bert alcantara's Tutti Frutti 8very different, of course, but certainly a surprise for a lot of people today) and of course the odd Tetley... not to forget, as I wrote elsewhere, Norman Maurice's goreous works.

It was visually interesting and the dancing was good (though didn't find the choreography in any way extraordinary), but there seemed to be no narrative running through the piece and it got a little bit repetitive and boring. I needed something to hook me in, and this didn't do it.

Absoultely loved the purple and green outfit for the female soloist as well as her dancing. The staging was excellent, I loved the lighting and all the props, esp the metal threads hanging from the ceiling. However I do feel whole productoin went on a bit too long.

Though everyone was brilliant, and justly deserved their applause - Lucia and Eryck along with Antonette and Miguel were for me a little more so. Their lines and grace - though individual kept me transfixed throughout.
That's not to say anyone else paled into the background - again you were all outstanding and truly memorable.
PS where did you get those dresses...
Sorry, no more posts can be added.
