Rambert at Wilderness Festival 2016
At the Wilderness Festival 2016, Rambert presents an exciting programme of dance that includes work by some of the country’s most exciting young choreographers and companies.
Friday 5 August
Ben Duke (Artistic Director Lost Dog Dance) and Tommy Evans (Submotion Orchestra) present a new work that was created with support from Rambert. This work is a duet for a dancer and drummer performed by Neus Gil Cortes and Tommy Evans.
Saturday 6 August, Rambert presents a choreographic platform:
Ruffle by Carlos Pons Guerra (Artistic Director of DeNada Dance Theatre and nominated for the Emerging artist award at the National Dance Awards 2015), Without End by Anthony Middleton (Artistic Director of the Middleton Corpus), and Within Her Eyes by James Cousins Company (winner of the inaugural New Adventures Choreographer Award).
There will also be performances of work choreographed by Rambert dancers including Rift by Simone Damberg Würtz and a new work by Hannah Rudd who is collaborating with the musician and composer Quinta.
In addition to watching the stunning performances, festival goers will have the chance to learn some moves from Itzik Galili’s samba inspired A Linha Curva – one of Rambert’s most popular works.
