Rambert’s new home wins RIBA National Award 2014
The Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) has announced that Rambert’s new home, designed by architects Allies and Morrison, has been awarded a National Award.
RIBA National Awards are the most rigorously judged awards for architectural excellence, with the winning buildings setting the standard for good architecture.
This follows on from the building’s RIBA London Award which was announced in May.
The list of 56 National prize winners will form the shortlist for the RIBA Stirling Prize to be announced in October.
RIBA said of the building: ‘The Jury were impressed by the seemingly effortless crispness of the architectural detailing both internally and externally… and all agreed that this was a beautifully crafted yet simple building warranting an architectural award.’
