Mark Baldwin awarded OBE
Mark Baldwin, Rambert’s Artistic Director, has been awarded an OBE in the 2015 Queen’s Birthday Honours for services to dance.
A dancer with the company for 10 years, Mark rejoined Rambert as Artistic Director in 2002. He has created seven works for the company during his tenure, the most recent of which, Dark Arteries, had its premiere at Sadler’s Wells in May 2015, and the company has won two Olivier Awards and the TMA Theatre Award for achievement in dance.
"Thank you so much to all the dancers, musicians, staff and board members I have worked with, I am humbled by your love and commitment to Rambert and to the art of dancing. I am thrilled to receive this honour on behalf of this brilliant company."
