Mid-tour, various thoughts

I really enjoyed Scotland which is still fresh in my mind having just returned from Aberdeen on Saturday evening. I was twice asked for my autograph having been seen on So You Think You Can Dance. I am very surprised how many people watched it. Even in the Italian restaurant over the road from the theatre the Sicilian Maître d' had seen me on "tele". Oh well, back to touring (the heart and soul of our activities).

The long tour after a hefty rehearsal period has brought out some injuries; always a dancer's and a dance company's worst nightmare. On the flipside, other dancers get an opportunity; a recent example would be Otis-Cameron Carr who stepped in for Kirill Burlov in Glasgow.

Going back on the road

Getting ready to go back on the road and it will be good to see those lovely dancers climb back into their pods (you'll know what I mean when you see the work) and again take on the piece that is The Comedy Of Change.

After several weeks out on the road with The Comedy of Change we have a week back at base, learning Siobhan Davies' The Art of Touch, a revival of one of her seminal works (1995).
