Work Placements 
Although Rambert does offer work experience places these are limited and demand is high. Because of this, places are subject to a competitive selection process. Applicants should be 18 years or over and undertaking a relevant further education or university course e.g. in performance arts, technical theatre or arts management. Due to the nature of our current building and health and safety we do not offer work placements for students under 18 years of age.
Our placements are for one week, are office based and will give a brief snap-shot of how a touring dance company operates as no two weeks are the same. It aims to illustrate how the various stages come together to produce the show the audience sees when the curtain goes up. Students will spend time in different departments, e.g. marketing, learning and participation, development and administration. On rare occasions it may be possible to offer a place with the technical team, but applicants must bear in mind we are a touring dance company and therefore part of the placement may mean travelling and would have cost implications for you.
All placements are at our offices and studios in Chiswick, West London and are unpaid.
We are unable to offer placements shadowing the dancers, artistic or creative teams.
Rambert is currently housed in two converted houses in Chiswick. Level access is only available to our ground floor studio and WC. Access to studios and offices on upper storeys are via stairs that are narrow, steep and uneven. Key to the design of our new home is the accessibility to all parts of the building - studios, changing rooms, offices - to all users, whether visitors or members of staff.
