Promoters' Information

Rambert Dance Company tours throughout Britain annually and internationally. Overseas tours have taken the Company to Spain, Germany, Russia, China, Italy and Hungary in recent years.

Rambert Dance Company offers a wide range of large-scale repertoire that can be programmed as appropriate within our usual mixed-bill format.

The 22- strong Company can perform up to a maximum of seven performances per week, requiring an ideal stage performing size of 12m x 10m. The 2007 repertoire is detailed below and it continues to
develop and change with new works being added throughout the year.

Promoters' Information

Touring requirements:

Rambert's touring requirements are very flexible and the Company is always open to negotiation. This information is for guidance only. The Company usually tours 33 people which includes 22 dancers, crew, artistic team and tour manager.

Performances:

  • The Company is generally available for week-long bookings (minimum Tuesday - Saturday)

  • At least three different pieces by three different choreographers are performed and this selection can be tailored to meet requirements within the repertoire available.

  • The average performance lasts 2 hours 15 minutes with two intervals.

Production information:

  • Each performance uses all of Rambert's 22 dancers.

  • Rambert usually travels with five crew members and needs up to ten local crew members.

  • At least one day is required to set up.

Venue requirements:

  • Preferred auditorium capacity is 800 seats.

  • Ideally the minimum stage area is 12m wide x 10m deep x 16m high

  • Existing lighting rig to specification agreed by Malcolm Glanville, Rambert's Technical Director or provision to install Rambert's lighting rig

  • Existing sound system to specification agreed by Malcolm Glanville or provision for installation of Rambert's sound equipment.
