Mikaela Polley
Born in Hadleigh, Essex, Mikaela trained at the San Toy School of Dancing, Central School of Ballet and the Royal Ballet School. She joined Birmingham Royal Ballet (BRB) in 1990, where her interest in choreography developed. Mikaela joined Rambert in 2001 and has choreographed five works for Rambert's Season of New Choreography, including Momenta, which entered the Rambert repertoire in April 2005. This was a collaboration with Patrick Nunn, a composer from the Royal Academy of Music. In July 2007, she was commissioned by ROH2 to create a new work, Coast.
