Lucía Barbadillo
Born in A Coruña, Spain, Lucía trained in classical ballet at María de Ávila Ballet School in Zaragoza graduating with honours from the Real Conservatorio Profesional de Danza de Madrid. In 1999, she was awarded a scholarship by Europa Danse, performing a range of contemporary repertoire. She then joined Compañía Nacional de Danza 2 where she danced pieces by Nacho Duato, Tony Fabre, Yoko Taira, Patrick de Bana and Nicolo Fonte. She was then promoted to Compañía Nacional de Danza touring extensively, dancing works by Duato, Orjan Andersson, Ohad Naharin, Jiri Kylian, William Forsythe and Mats Ek. She joined Rambert in summer 2009.
