William McKee CBE
William McKee CBE is Chairman of Tilfen Land and Chairman of Weber Shandwick UK Property.
He is a member of the Advisory Board of Hotbed Property Fund and a non-executive director of Taylor Made Solutions. From 1993 until February 2002, he was Director General of the British Property Federation and Chairman of the European Property Federation from 1996 until 2002. From 1999-2002, he was Chairman of the CBI Trade Association Council, a member of the CBI President's committee and Vice-chairman of the National Planning Forum. He has been a member of numerous Government review bodies.
A town planner, traffic engineer and chartered surveyor by professional qualification, he was Chief Executive of the London Borough of Merton 1981-92. He received the CBE in 2002 for services to the property industry.
William has been appointed Chairman of the Thurrock Urban Development Corporation established in conjunction with the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister and Thurrock local authority. Over the next seven years, the Corporation will oversee the urban, business, educational and cultural regeneration of the Thurrock area.
