Rambert Dance Company - Associate Orchestra

LONDON MUSICI

Rambert Dance Company's Associate Orchestra

London Musici

Since its debut in 1988 London Musici (Artistic Director: Mark Stephenson) has become one of the UK's most innovative chamber orchestras. Its critically acclaimed association with Rambert Dance Company, now in its fifteenth year, is unique internationally and is one of its proudest achievements.

The following highlights demonstrate the orchestra's distinctiveness.
Three 20th Anniversary programmes:

. Eternal Light: A Requiem, by Howard Goodall, commissioned by London Musici and recorded by EMI with the Choir of Christ Church Cathedral Oxford directed by Dr Stephen Darlington
. A performance-art catwalk by Vivienne Westwood and London Musici at Banqueting Hall, Whitehall Palace in aid of the NSPCC, on 18 November 2008 conducted by Mark Stephenson
. London Musici will re-launch its private-state school music partnerships supported by a leading educational trust, directed by Mark Stephenson.

London Musici is particularly grateful to George Piskov and Unistream Money Transfers for the generous sponsorship of its programme with Vivienne Westwood, and to all its donor and supporters during its 20th Anniversary Season. Thanks also to Mr Kristian Siem and his staff for the kind donation of office facilities since 2006.
