Juan Gil

Born: Valencia, Spain

Trained: London Studio Centre.

Joined: Rambert in 2016.

Career highlights: Juan trained at the London Studio Centre with a full scholarship, under the direction of Margaret Barbieri.  He took part in a UK tour as member of Images of Dance (the final year company at London Studio Centre). In 2011 Juan joined the Sarasota Ballet under the direction of Iain Webb, rising to the rank of Junior Principal.

Juan has also had featured roles in Ashton’s Marguerite and Armand, A Wedding Bouquet, Façade, Enigma Variations and Illuminations, Balanchine’s Apollo and The Four Temperaments, Christopher Bruce’s Sergeant Early’s Dream, Vaslav Nijinsky’s L’après-midi d’un Faune and Christopher Wheeldon’s The American. Other works include: Twyla Tharp’s Nine Sinatra Songs, Paul Taylor’s Company B, Dominic Walsh’s Bello, I Napoletani, and Afternoon of a Faun.
