Our building

Rambert’s home is a state-of-the-art facility on London’s South Bank. With the help of the Coin Street Community, it was built in 2014 and officially opened by HM The Queen in March of the same year.

The building includes five dance studios, treatment and body conditioning rooms, workshops, offices and an archive. Designed by architects Allies and Morrison, it received a presitigious RIBA National Award in 2014 as one of the best new buildings of the year.

Rambert’s presence on the South Bank puts dance in the heart of one of the UK’s most important cultural hubs, where people of all ages and abilities can take part in classes, workshops and other activities and events.

The building is a place for making new dance, purpose-built to nurture, develop and realise the creative visions of the best of today’s and tomorrow’s choreographers, dancers and composers. Its design opens up the creative process, giving visitors and passers-by an insight into the work of a world-class dance company.
